Hello friend, I am writing this post to thank you.
I have been online now for a little under a year, making friends,
adding value and also promoting my businesses.

As you know this industry can be a bit difficult to figure out,
how much to promote and how much to build relationships. I have
in this past year met some truly wonderful people that have planted
a seed of greatness in my life.

My initial take on internet marketing was that there was no way for one to
build real friendships online, I thought it was a great way to
promote the business but I saw everyone as just a picture on a site.

I was wrong, I have met wonderful people who I can now cal friends.

I remember the day I decided to build my business online as if it were yesterday. I remember being completely lost and searching for a solid training program to teach me how to promote my business properly.

What I found was a bunch of sites that claimed to be training programs when in fact all they offered were outdated E-Books and software programs that were no longer relevant to the Internet Marketing Industry. Some of these programs were going for as much as $7,000 USD but on average they were requiring an investment of about $2,000 USD.

In an effort to save you time and energy, let me give you 3 things to look for when shopping for an Internet Training Program.

1. Look For A Program That Teaches Through Video. Books are great but.. when you are able to watch an expert implement the lesson right as you are watching through video, you will learn faster and you can follow along and pause the video as you need to.

2. Look for an Internet Training Program That Offers Real Time Support. A solid training program will implement a community type of support system to create culture and to help it’s students to communicate with those who are having the most success. Also look for a training program that offers live company support and that it keeps in mind different time zones for it’s support.

3. Look For A Training Program That Gathers The Best Marketers For Each Individual Strategy. There are several different marketing strategies that can be used to promote a business. Not every marketer is great at every strategy. Look for a training program that has the resources to bring the best in each area of marketing, if you do not you’ll find yourself learning Article Marketing from a Video Marketer..LOL.

Look for a program that offers a FREE affiliate program for you to participate in. This will create another stream of income that you can use to advertize your business. Is MLM Dead?

Multi Level Marketing has been rumored to be dead. Many of the industry’s most loyal army has called it quits over the last 18 months.

What happened? Did these Personally Developed but broke in more ways then one Entrepreneur finally decide to give up on their dreams and surrender to Corporate America? Or have they found a new home elsewhere?

Is MLM really dead? I wouldn’t declare the industry dead, but wounded it is. Network Marketing’s inability or their reluctance to change has really taken it’s toll on the industry.

Many people left because MLM is still teaching strategies like chasing family and friends, attending hotel meetings, scheduling home parties. These strategies worked back in the 80’s and 90’s but in today’s world where people want to say “I’m building a home based business” and mean it and where parents rather be at soccer practice then at some hotel meeting, These strategies just don’t work.

95% attrition is too high. I know that there will always be people who will quit but I know that this number can be lowered to 80%. 15% difference in this industry would be huge for the industry. There are good people who were willing to work and had a desire but because they couldn’t attend the meetings, their upline refused to work with them. Good people who really wanted to build a business but because they did not have a great responsive warm market, their upline moved on to the next recruit.

So where have these soldiers of prosperity gone? I’ll reveal that in one second but first let me touch on one more point. People are also walking away from MLM because some MLM companies have these ridicules anti-internet rules that handcuff the distributor. These rules almost force a distributor to build MLM the old fashion way and MLM distributors are not putting up with it anymore.

So where are these people going in search of quenching their desire for success and their passion to live the lifestyle of their dreams? The answer is Affiliate Marketing via the internet. Many have figured out that if you learn the art of Online Marketing, you can write your own ticket and for some a lot faster then with an MLM program.

Many have found that as long as you learn the correct way to market, you can be earning a strong six figure income in a matter of a couple of years. The plus sign for MLM is the promise of residual income as well as passive income.. (and yes there is a difference.) Having said that many MLM distributors are now adding a few affiliate products to their MLM building effort and in the process generating huge checks while building a residual income with their MLM company.

New MLM distributors make the mistake of getting caught up in the hype. I made this mistakes, I thought that I was getting in to make money, but I found myself doing everything except making money. I was a cheerleader, a preacher, an usher, an event coordinator, a sound technician, a maintenance engineer, I was a bus driver, oh yeah I was also a waiter. I was caught in the revival(LOL). It may be funny now but back then it was a nightmare. Many new MLM distributors think that this business is church.

You must remember that this is business and that your spouse is not home watching the kids for you to attend a not for profit event. Stop being used by all these so called leaders and start building your MLM business. Make sure that if you are still attending these hotel meetings you do so with the right mindset, and with guests.

Mistake #2

New MLM distributors make the mistake of over studying before taking action, if they ever take action at all. I also made this mistake..(I’m sorry, I made many ok.) I got my PHD before making a dime in this industry. I had enough credits to graduate from U.S.C(LOL). I read every book, attended every seminar, bought every CD before making a single call.

Avoid this mistake by all means necessary. It is crucial to study but in the words of Mary Beard “Action without study is fatal, study without action is futile”. Even the Bible says “faith without works is dead”

Mistake #3

New MLM distributors make the mistake of building their upline and not themselves. This is how you lose your downlines, the minute your GURU decides to change programs your team that is already following him or her(thanks to your great work of edifying) will follow them and leave you like a bride on her wedding day.

We edify our upline to the point that we become irrelevant. We forget to establish ourselves as leaders. In this business, the only way to build big is to become an established leader. Make sure that you are working on yourself and that you conduct your own calls, webinars and mastermind events. Your team needs to see you as a leader.

Mistake #4

Another mistake made by new MLM distributors is, leading with their MLM program. If new distributors would only know that everyone is numb to the MLM lingo. The same old thing by every different company, same lines same DVDs same story. All MLM companies have the same company creating their sales tools. All companies are claiming the same thing, all distributors are taught the same thing and you know what? People see you coming a mile away.

So stop pitching like Nolan Ryan and get with the times. MLM masters are leading with a funded proposal. A funded proposal is an inexpensive informational product that serves your target market and creates cashflow for your future advertising.

Mistake #5

And here is the deadliest of them all, are you ready? New MLM distributors do not give themselves enough time to learn this business. They are in a hurry to fail, in a hurry to prove to themselves that their initial gut feeling was right, that this was too good to be true. Look it’s going to take time to succeed but it would take the rest of your life to fail. It may take you 1 or 2 or even 5 years to succeed but it would take you the rest of your life to fail.

Do yourself a favor, make yourself the promise that you will finish what you started, that you will not give in to your own defeated thought patterns, that you will grow as a person, as a leader and that you will master this industry.

A Top Tier Program is the answer to one of the biggest problems that are faced by MLM ers today,(the lack of cashflow)

In the second layer of your Marketing Funnel is where your prospects/leads will be able to
find the tools and the training needed to build a solid marketing business. It is very important
for you to evaluate and carefully select the tools that will be available to your prospects/leads.

Although there is no limit to the amount of tools that can be positioned in this layer, you should
keep these following tools as a minimum.

* An Auto Responder. This tool is probably the most important to your prospects/leads.

This tool will allow your prospects to own their own list and build a lasting relationship with their list.

* A Lead Capture Page That Brands You. In order to own your own list, you must have a way to capture

the information of those people who in fact say yes to you for more information.

* A Video Uploader. Your prospects/leads are going to need a tool that will allow them to

upload a video to one site and for that site to distribute the content to many different sites. This is crucial
for Google rankings..

* A Social Media Friend Adder. In order for your prospects to utilize social media sites to

grow their business, they are going to need this tool to find others of a like mind and request for their
approval of a relationship.
Here are a few sites that can be used to grow your friendship list.

This is a description of some of the most important tools that you should have in the second layer
of your Marketing Funnel.

One last thing on the subject, look for a system that will put it all together for you, a system

What Should Your Marketing Funnel Look Like At The Top.

In A Marketing Funnel/Sales Funnel, there are different layers. Today I want to describe and teach what
the top of the funnel should look like.

The top of the funnel is very important because it is the very first thing that a prospect/lead sees when
they come in. We have to make sure that we choose an incredible program, pick a program that solves
a real problem in the marketplace. We should also choose an introductory program of no more than $40.

Our program should be a tangible product, I have found that they work a lot better than downloadables.
Our product should also be one that a prospect/lead can also participate in without having to pay
additional money for the affiliation.

The top of the funnel should also use the concept of forced continuity. Forced continuity is where
embeded within your introductory product, a prospect learns about the existence of other products that
can also be used to grow their business. A desire to purchase the additional products should also be
planted within the pages of the introductory product.

If your initial product is solid, and the information is valuable, your prospect/lead will want to continue
down the funnel for more value.

Remember, look for a system that will put all of this in motion on your behalf. Your system must allow
you to focus on the marketing and promotion of the funnel and not the creation of one. The more time you spend
marketing and promoting, the more money you are going to earn.
